Some new photos. Cats and pizza.

It's like neon fireworks.

The new camera is not ideal for fireworks photography--the lack of a bulb setting is a serious flaw--but if you get the settings right you can still get some damn good photos. It takes very nice photos, too, and doesn't appear to have any autofocus issues.

Also I managed to snap my left index fingernail off juuuuuuuuust above the quick.

Thanks to kfops my own photo gallery at Morgi.net is now up. So far it's just the first batch of photos, but now that it's all working right I'll get the rest up in the next few days.

I now have a Flickr account, and am trying to upload photos; however I screwed up and I think I maxed out my upload amount for the month (wtf?) with every single picture I had (whoops) so I may have to wait until tomorrow (assuming it goes by calendar month).

Today we see Malibu and the Calamigos Ranch for the first time.

After a little extra sleep and some Gatorade last night, I don't feel entirely ready to keel over and go back to sleep like I did yesterday. I don't think I'll be doing any errands tonight though, just coming straight home. I'll save the errands for Saturday. I need to go to Sam's again (we were just there last night) to get some extra prints of photos, and we need cat food again, and there's always the weekly grocery shopping. Coming up next weekend is a wedding where we might be staging some confetti shoot photos (man, do I need more film again??), and Charles has some pyro shows and football games coming up next month.

And today is Chinese Friday, the best day of the week! I haven't been feeling the love this week. Bleah. But my desk is relatively tidy and free of excess paper. I just need to start getting some of these extra projects out of the way.

Need to mail prettyh's package. Need to finish packing tpau's package and mail it before it's too late and she doesn't need it anymore. Guess I'll do that this weekend too.

And today is my one-year-ten-months anniversary at work! Yay!
